How COOL ORA® Works

COOL ORA® offers visible rejuvenation in two specific steps:

Step 1: Cool Laser VarioSpot

Controlled ablation targets damaged tissue using a paintbrush approach until pinpoint bleeding is achieved, activating the body’s natural healing process.

Step 2: Cool Laser MicroSpot

Provides controlled resurfacing, refining skin texture, reducing pore size, balancing oil production, and promoting collagen stimulation.

Fractional laser passes remodel collagen and elastin fibres, tightening the skin while softening lines and blending the treatment area.

This two-phase approach enables aged tissue to be removed and skin quality to be rebuilt immediately, resulting in powerful outcomes with predictable safety.

Treatment Indications

COOL ORA® is designed for patients seeking focused rejuvenation around the mouth and lower face. Indications include:

Treatment Protocol & Patient Experience

Preparation

Gentle pre-treatment skincare is recommended to optimise outcomes. Valaciclovir prophylaxis is advised for patients with a history of Herpes Simplex outbreaks.

Course

Typically 1-2 sessions spaced 5 weeks apart, with a follow-up evaluation 6 weeks after.

Recovery

Patients can expect light swelling, crusting, and scabbing for 5-7 days, with complete skin barrier recovery within 7-10 days.

Post-Treatment Care

Simple soothing and barrier-repair products can be combined to help support recovery based on the patient’s needs.

Results

60% reduction in visible lines and wrinkles is often visible after the first session, with further improvement following additional treatments, as well as skin tightening.

Treatment Time

Unlike traditional resurfacing techniques, COOL ORA employs a two-step Er:YAG treatment designed exclusively for the perioral zone. This precision assures safe, predictable results and significant improvements in fewer sessions.

It effectively minimises smoker’s lines, deep wrinkles, skin laxity, and sun damage, while also correcting irregularities caused by past filler use.

Most patients achieve excellent results in 1 to 2 sessions, although treatment plans can be tailored to individual skin response and ageing severity.

Patients should plan for 5-7 days of light swelling and scabbing, with the skin fully healed within 7-10 days.

Patients with mature skin (45+) showing advanced signs of ageing, such as deep lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity in the lower face and perioral area. It can also be for those with migrated lip filler or overfilled lips (once dissolved).

Results are long-lasting, with smoother, tighter skin maintained for months to years, depending on lifestyle, skincare, and natural ageing. Maintenance treatments may be scheduled as needed.
