How The Juliet® Laser Works

The Juliet® Laser for feminine health involves a two-step process designed to rejuvenate and restore vaginal tissue without the need for surgery or hormone-based therapies. In the first step, the laser gently exfoliates damaged cells and initiates the body’s natural healing reaction by applying fractionated, regulated pulses to the surface layers of vaginal tissue.

This controlled ablation initiates the production of collagen and elastin, key proteins that strengthen and restore elasticity to the tissue. This encourages a stronger, more resilient vaginal lining over time, which can greatly improve tissue tone and comfort.

In the second phase, the laser applies gentle heat at a deeper level, increasing blood circulation to the vaginal area and stimulating new blood vessel formation. This increase in blood flow promotes natural lubrication, reducing dryness and discomfort associated with conditions like menopause and postpartum recovery.

This phase also helps balance the pH of the vaginal tissue, supporting a healthy vaginal microbiome and improving muscle tone, which can help treat conditions such as stress urinary incontinence.

The Juliet® laser has been designed to provide effective vaginal rejuvenation treatment, the goal of which is to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin, along with an improved vascularisation of the vaginal mucosa. This restores the original metabolism of connective tissue, improving elasticity and lubrication of the inner mucosa, resulting in increased thickness and softness. It also enhances the tone of the pelvic floor, strengthening vaginal tissue to support the interior tissue and walls.

The Juliet® laser device has been specially designed to treat vulvovaginal conditions like atrophy and stress urinary incontinence, as well as tightening, itching, irritation and pain during intercourse.

Juliet® laser treatments are gentle, fast, non-invasive and do not require local anaesthesia, meaning that treatments only take a few minutes and can be performed in-clinic with minimal downtime.

The Juliet® laser offers a fantastic level of treatment with minimal discomfort and excellent results. Due to this, only 1-3 treatment sessions are needed to see significant improvements. Most patients report seeing a substantial improvement in their symptoms after only one treatment.

Juliet® laser treatments are gentle, fast and effective, meaning that there is minimal downtime for patients. However, with any cosmetic treatment, there is potential for a few side effects.

The Juliet® laser, however, produces only mild side effects (if any). This may include temporary redness, swelling, or a sensation similar to mild sunburn, which typically resolves within a few days. Some patients may experience slight itching or dryness, which can be alleviated with particular moisturisers.

In very rare cases, more noticeable effects like hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, or minor blistering can occur – this is usually in patients with sensitive skin or for those who don’t follow post-treatment care guidelines.

After Juliet® laser treatments, most patients can return to their usual activities almost immediately, as the procedure involves minimal downtime. However, to ensure the best results and prevent any complications, there are a few important aftercare guidelines your patients should follow.

It is recommended to refrain from sexual intercourse, tampons, and any form of vaginal penetration for at least 48-72 hours after treatment to allow the treated area to heal. Your patients should also avoid strenuous physical activities, such as heavy exercise, for a few days to avoid any unnecessary strain on the vaginal area​.

Some patients may experience mild vaginal irritation or sensitivity following treatment, which should go away within a few days. Recommend keeping the area clean and comfortable, as this will further help in promoting a smooth recovery process​.
