What Is the MultiPulse® PRO?

Asclepion’s MultiPulse® PRO is a 10,600nm CO₂ laser designed for both aesthetic dermatology and dermatological surgery. It uses a radio-frequency (RF) excited laser source and delivers up to 60W of power. A single platform performs full-field ablation through its handpieces and fractional resurfacing through the HiScan SVR scanner.

Asclepion’s Dynamic Pulse Control (DPC) technology lets you shape each pulse, deciding how much energy goes into ablating tissue and how much goes into heating the dermis below. That balance shapes the tissue effect, whether the aim is to vaporise a lesion cleanly, remodel an atrophic scar or tighten periorbital skin. With five pulse modes, five stacking levels and three scan patterns, you get a wide working range from one device.

MultiPulse® PRO Treatment Indications

CO₂ laser energy is absorbed by the water in skin tissue. It ablates the target while delivering a controlled thermal effect to the surrounding dermis. That pairing of ablation and heat suits the MultiPulse PRO for a broad mix of aesthetic and dermatological work.

Skin Resurfacing

Fractional or fully ablative resurfacing to improve skin texture, fine lines and overall skin quality. Adjusting the scanner pitch moves you between the two approaches without changing the device.

Skin Rejuvenation

Fractional treatment ablates microscopic columns of tissue and leaves the skin between them intact. Those untreated areas speed healing, and most patients return to their daily activities within a few days.

Scar Treatment

Atrophic scars from acne, chickenpox or injury can affect both the look and the texture of the skin. DP mode creates a wedge-shaped zone of ablation and heating in the dermis, designed for targeted remodelling of scar tissue.

Lesion Removal

Precise vaporisation of benign skin lesions such as fibromas and naevi, as well as treatment of actinic cheilitis. The handpieces and fine optics give close control at the margins.

Rhinophyma

Rhinophyma calls for tissue removal and reshaping with effective bleeding control. CO₂ coagulates small vessels as it ablates, which helps keep the treatment field clear.

Laser Blepharoplasty and Periorbital Lines

The MultiPulse PRO supports bloodless laser blepharoplasty and the treatment of periorbital wrinkles, two of the most requested treatments around the eyes.

Dynamic Pulse Control (DPC) Technology

A CO₂ pulse both ablates tissue and creates a thermal effect. Dynamic Pulse Control lets the practitioner vary the balance between the two rather than working with a single fixed pulse profile. MultiPulse PRO offers four pulse shapes plus continuous wave, producing different depths and patterns of tissue effect. You can match the pulse to the indication, the treatment area and the patient in front of you.

SP Mode (Standard Pulse)

A gentle ablation peak followed by a heating phase. The epidermis is ablated while the tissue underneath is warmed, which suits indications in the papillary dermis.

DP Mode (Deep Pulse)

A high ablation peak with a selectable heating phase. Together, they form a wedge-shaped zone in the dermis, used for targeted tissue remodelling in atrophic scars and periorbital wrinkles.

UP Mode (Ultimate Pulse)

The highest ablation peak and the shortest pulse, for precise ablation. Depending on the power setting, it works at the surface or at deeper levels. It’s indicated for scars and for wrinkles without skin laxity.

HP Mode (High Pulse)

HP uses short, high-frequency pulses to produce superficial ablation alongside a thermal effect. It is intended for procedures including rhinophyma treatment and laser blepharoplasty.

CW Mode

Continuous-wave output, available with the handpieces.

Fractional or Full Ablation From One Scanner

The HiScan SVR (Skin Versatility Resurfacing) scanner pairs with the Frax Terminal SVR to give you full control over how energy lands on the skin. Pitch, the spacing between spots, adjusts from 0 to 2,000μm. Close the pitch right down for fully ablative coverage, or open it up to leave bridges of untreated skin for fractional work. The scan area is up to 15 × 15mm, with dwell time ranging from 100 to 2,000μs.

Stacking delivers repeated pulses to the same point, allowing ablation depth to be increased in controlled steps. Five levels are available.

Normal, Interlaced and Randomized modes change the order in which spots are delivered. Randomized mode separates adjacent pulses to reduce localised heat build-up across the treatment area.

Optics, Handpieces & Spacers for MultiPulse Pro.

Handpieces, Optics and Spacers

Handpieces handle full-field ablation and fine detail work. A 7.0″ handpiece is supplied as standard, with 1.5″, 2.0″, 4.0″ and collimated options available. Across the range of optics, spot size runs from 0.125mm to 2mm.

Interchangeable spacers keep the working distance consistent for each type of treatment. They’re quick to change and can be sterilised, as can the handpieces, which are also easy to swap and clean between patients.

Workstation Features

RF CO₂ Laser Source

The RF-excited source provides stable pulse timing for precise control of laser power. The RF tube also has a longer service life than conventional CO₂ laser sources.

360° Articulated Mirror Arm

The long articulated arm balances the handpieces and scanner, so they move freely during treatment. It folds back and locks for transport.

8.4″ Touchscreen

A sharp, responsive touchscreen with a modern interface keeps parameter changes quick between treatment steps.

Up to 60 Watts

The MultiPulse PRO delivers up to 60W of power.

Compact Footprint

The workstation takes up 42 × 54cm of floor space and weighs around 70kg.

CO₂ or Er:YAG? MultiPulse® PRO vs Cool Laser

We manufacture and suply both a CO₂ laser, the MultiPulse, and an Er:YAG laser, the Cool Laser. Both are ablative and both target water in the skin, but they leave very different amounts of heat behind.

Er:YAG at 2,940nm is absorbed far more strongly by water, so it removes tissue in fine layers with very little residual heat. That’s why Cool Laser is described as “cold” ablation.

CO₂ at 10,600 nm deposits more heat into the surrounding tissue. The extra heat coagulates small blood vessels, creating a drier treatment field, while also contracting collagen to support tissue tightening and remodelling. Neither is better across the board. The right choice depends on the indications you treat, your patients and how you want to manage recovery, and some clinics run both.

MultiPulse® PRO Frequently Asked Questions

A fractional CO₂ laser treats the skin in a grid of microscopic columns rather than ablating the whole surface. The untreated skin between those columns helps the area heal faster than fully ablative resurfacing, while the heat delivered into the dermis stimulates collagen remodelling. The MultiPulse PRO can work fractionally through its scanner or fully ablatively through either the scanner or the handpieces.
Yes. The HiScan SVR scanner’s pitch adjusts from 0 to 2,000μm. A closed pitch gives full-field ablation and a wider pitch gives fractional treatment. The handpieces add precise full ablation for lesion work and smaller areas.
The MultiPulse PRO is a 10,600nm CO₂ laser that combines ablation with an adjustable thermal effect, which coagulates as it treats and promotes tissue shrinkage. The Cool Laser is a 2,940nm Er:YAG laser that ablates with minimal heat spread. The right choice depends on the indications your clinic treats, and our product team can advise.
Dynamic Pulse Control (DPC) is Asclepion’s pulse-shaping technology. It gives you four pulse modes (SP, DP, UP and HP) plus continuous wave, each with a different balance of ablation and heating, so the tissue effect can be tailored to the indication.
Recovery depends on the pulse mode, energy, depth and density used. With fractional treatment, most patients return to their daily activities within a few days. Fully ablative resurfacing involves a longer recovery period. Practitioners should set expectations at consultation based on the planned treatment.
The MultiPulse PRO is supplied with the Asclepion A-List package, which includes a 2-year warranty: one year of parts and labour, then one year of parts only. Handpieces carry a 1-year warranty.
The MultiPulse PRO is a Class 4 medical laser intended for use by trained medical practitioners.
